I’m delighted to introduce Dr. Eric Dupree, one of our newest physicians. With over two decades of experience in family medicine, Dr. Dupree brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to our team.
Dr. Dupree’s journey in medicine began in his rural upbringing in Red River Parish, where he developed a deep appreciation for small-town life and a passion for serving his community. This passion led him to pursue a career in medicine, where he excelled academically and professionally. After completing his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Dr. Dupree was accepted into the accelerated program at LSU Medical School. There, he found his calling in family medicine, a field that perfectly aligned with his desire to provide comprehensive and continuous care to individuals and families.
In 2003, after completing his Family Practice Residency Program at Louisiana Health Sciences Center, Dr. Dupree moved to Winn Parish, where he established a successful private practice. His 20+ years of service in the area are marked by his leadership roles, including serving as the Medical Staff President and Secretary at Winn Parish Medical Center, as well as his ongoing commitment as Chairman of the Performance Improvement and Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees.
Dr. Dupree’s dedication to his patients is matched by his commitment to his faith and family. As an ordained Deacon at First Baptist Church in Winnfield, he has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to serving others, both in his medical practice and in his community. His values of faith, family, and a passion for patient care make him a perfect fit for the Hardtner Medical Center team.
