Paid Time Off
In lieu of vacation, holiday* and sick time, a paid time off (PTO) plan is the policy at Hardtner Medical Center. PTO is granted to all full-time employees after completion of 90 days of continuous service. Employees are allowed to accumulate PTO to maximum of 1 1/2 years accruals. Actual accrual rates per pay period and maximum accruals:

PTO accrual rate includes 7 Holidays
Extended Sick Leave
An accrual of 3.69 hours per 80 hours worked in a pay period (12 days annually) will be accrued from date of employment and available for use after 6 months of full time continuous service. Maximum accrual is 480 hours. Extended sick leave is available after 3 continuous scheduled days or 24 hours off due to illness, unless admitted to hospital or ambulatory surgery center for procedure.
Bereavement Leave
Employees may be granted 3 normal (8 hour) working days in the event of a death in the immediate family.
Hospitalization Insurance
Employees are eligible for Hospitalization Insurance on the 1st day of month following 90 days full time employment. The premium is paid by Hardtner Medical Center and the employee.
